Recent renovations are returning the once run-down property to nostalgic glory. The Golden Gate is famous as the home of the $0.99 shrimp cocktail, but one now has to be a member of their player's club to get it for $0.99. Live music on most evenings and a classic atmosphere give the Golden Gate an ambiance that a newer casino just cannot duplicate.
